In this read, we will talk about XBOX controllers that work well with PC games, and by the end, you will know how to put your XBOX controller into pairing mode.
How to Pair Your Controller with an Xbox
Pairing your new controller with Xbox Series S or X, or with any older Xbox One console, you will need two AA batteries. You can also use a rechargeable battery pack. We found Microsoft’s pack of disposable batteries that comes with the box reliable, but you can also purchase it separately.
Then, turn on your XBOX console by pressing the power button that you will find on the front side. Now, press the console’s pairing button located near to the front USB slots.
Xbox Series S Pairing Button
On an Xbox S, X, or One, the pairing button is placed on the front side near the USB port. However, if you use the original Xbox One, the pairing button will be on the left side near the disc drive.
Now, press the pairing button without turning on the controller. Keep it holding till you see Xbox’s logo starts to blink.
When you see the Xbox logo is not flashing and the light is still, it means that pairing has been completed, and you have paired the controller. Just make sure that your new consoles remain in pairing mode. Now you can use and control your Xbox with your new controller.
Pairing Your Controller with a PC, Mac, and More
Another method to pair your XBOX controller with other devices is by using a Bluetooth connection. The process is also straightforward and very much similar to the previous method, and only a few steps are changed in this pairing method.
To pair your controller with your PC or Mac via Bluetooth, press the pairing button that you will find near the battery. And when you see the XOBOX logo flashing, it means it is in a pairing mode.
You can pair your XBOX controller with other devices, and you have 20 seconds to do this. Just go to the Bluetooth pairing interface and select your controller. If your controller and device are compatible with each other, it will pair immediately. After successful pairing of the controller, you can play and enjoy your favorite games on your smartphone. Remember that Xbox Series X and S controller are not compatible with the Apple’s iPhone.
However, the makers are planning an update, and we will see support for Apple devices in the near future.
